How does the design process work?
The first stage of the process is conversation, we talk and I glean as much information as I can about your design needs and art preferences.
You tell me what impression you want to make and what colours and imagery you favour together, if possible, with a few examples of sites that you like.
I then start the design process, most usually with a logo and imagery for a proposed website. Often clients already have a logo which may need reworking, or redrafting and modernising.
As I create artwork I will send this to you for you to assess. Sometimes I come up with a design people like first time, sometimes we go through a few variations but most usually this process takes no more than a week or so, often less.
Only when you are happy with the design I’ve provided do we agree terms.
How does the hosting work?
I collaberate with Skep Solutions run by my colleague Hutch, a professional software development engineer.
Skep will take care of setting up your domain and all database related site functionality.
At the same time I will start work on the site design, functionality and template construction. How long does it take?
I aim to have a site functional and ready within two weeks of agreeing upon a design with the client.
This timescale will vary depending on the size of the site and the complexity of the artwork required but should not take much more than three weeks maximum.
When I am able to commence work will depend on my workload commitments but I will give you a clear estimate of when the work will start and when the work will finish.
